TUTORIAL

 Hello readers!

I have been working with a classmate called Naia. We have done tutorials about applications we have used around the year with google presentations. We chose how to make a quiz with hot potatoes.
Do you know what is Hot Potatoes? Hot potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is freeware, and you may use it for any purpose or project you like. It is not open-source. The Java version provides all the features found in the windows version, except: you can not upload to hotpotatoes.net and you can't export a SCORM object from Java Hot Potatoes.

In hot potatoes you have different choices: Jcross, Jcloze, JMatch, Jmix and Jquiz. In this occasion we have chosen Jquiz.

Then we did a Google presentation with google drive. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms are a free, web-based word processor, a spreadsheet program, a presentation program and survey program respectively, all part of a software office suite offered by Google within its Google Drive service. The suite allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating with other users in real-time.

Here you have the work we have done. I hope you would like it!

Dotsub

              Hello readers,

In some days  I have been doing a transcription to a video called When I was your man. This transcriptions I have done in a website called Dotsub. In this website you can download a song from YouTube and then put the transcriptions in any language. I have done transcriptions in three different languages. English, Basque and Spanish.
I have chosen this song called 'when I was your man' because is a song that I like very much since the first day I listened to. In addition, Bruno Mars, the singer of  'when I was your man' is a singer that I like very much. When I had to chose a song to do this work, I knew that I would do a song of Bruno Mars but I did not know what song. So finally I chose 'When I was your man'.
Peter Gene Hernandez (born October 8, 1985), professionally known by his stage name Bruno Mars, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, voice actor, and choreographer. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii by a family of musicians, Mars began making music at a young age and performed in various musical venues in his hometown throughout his childhood. He graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career. Mars produced songs for other artists, co-founding the production team The Smeezingtons.

He became recognized as a solo artist after lending his vocals to the songs "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B, and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy, which were worldwide successes, and for which he co-wrote the hooks. His debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010), was anchored by the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade", as well as the number-five single "The Lazy Song". His second album, Unorthodox Jukebox, was released in 2012, peaked at number one in the United States. The album spawned the international singles "Locked Out of Heaven", "When I Was Your Man" and "Treasure".

HUMAN RIGHTS

                                                          HUMAN RIGHTS

What are human rights? Human rights can mean many things. You can ask twenty people and you will get twenty different opinions. Humans are members of the homo sapiens species; a man, woman or child; a person. Rights are things to which you are entitled or allowed; freedoms that are guaranteed. So, human rights are the rights you have simply because you are human.

Although ideas of rights and liberty have existed in some form for much of human history, there is agreement that the earlier conceptions do not closely resemble the modern conceptions of human rights. According to Jack Donnelly, in the ancient world, "traditional societies typically have had elaborate systems of duties... conceptions of justice, political legitimacy, and human flourishing that sought to realize human dignity, flourishing, or well-being entirely independent of human rights. These institutions and practices are alternative to, rather than different formulations of, human rights". The history of human rights can be traced to past documents, particularly Constitution of Medina (622), Al-Risalah al-Huquq (659-713), Magna Carta (1215), the English Bill of Rights (1689), the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen (1789), and the Bill of Rights in the United States Constitution (1791). The modern sense of human rights can be traced toRenaissance Europe and the Protestant Reformation, alongside the disappearance of the feudal authoritarianism and religious conservativism that dominated the Middle Ages. One theory is that human rights were developed during the early Modern period, alongside the European secularization of Judeo-Christian ethics. The most commonly held view is that the concept of human rights evolved in the West, and that while earlier cultures had important ethical concepts, they generally lacked a concept of human rights. For example, McIntyre argues there is no word for "right" in any language before 1400. Medieval charters of liberty such as the English Magna Carta were not charters of human rights, rather they were the foundation and constituted a form of limited political and legal agreement to address specific political circumstances, in the case of Magna Carta later being recognised in the course of early modern debates about rights. One of the oldest records of human rights is the statute of Kalisz (1264), giving privileges to the Jewish minority in the Kingdom of Poland such as protection from discrimination and hate speech. Samuel Moyn suggests that the concept of human rights is intertwined with the modern sense of citizenship, which did not emerge until the past few hundred years.

Mo Yan

Dear readers,

Today I'm going to writte about Mo Yan, a Chinese novelist and short story writter that he won a nobel prize in literature in 2012. He was born in Gaomi, Shandong, China in the 17th of february in 1955.

He is best known to Western readers for his 1987 novel Red Sorghum Clan, of which the Red Sorghum and Sorghum Wine volumes were later adapted for the film Red Sorghum. In 2012, Mo was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for his work as a writer "who with hallucinatory realism merges folk tales, history and the contemporary".

On 11 October 2012, the Swedish Academy announced that Mo Yan had received the Nobel Prize in Literature for his work that "withhallucinatory realism merges folk tales, history and the contemporary". Aged 57 at the time of the announcement, he was the 109th recipient of the award and the first ever resident of mainland China to receive it—Chinese-born Gao Xingjian, a citizen of France, having been named the 2000 laureate. In his Award Ceremony Speech, Per Wästberg explained: "Mo Yan is a poet who tears down stereotypical propaganda posters, elevating the individual from an anonymous human mass. Using ridicule and sarcasm Mo Yan attacks history and its falsifications as well as deprivation and political hypocrisy."

Swedish Academy head Peter Englund said less formally, "He has such a damn unique way of writing. If you read half a page of Mo Yan you immediately recognize it as him".  wikipedia

Mo Yan did the career in the Army, and actually is the vicepresident of the Association of the Writters of "PC". Despite to all the critics spilled against the Chinese regimen, evident in his fantastic novels, to the author they considerate a loyal person.

I have just read an article about Mo Yan and he sais:" My enemies are almost the writers"

NO TO THE VIOLENCE AGAINST THE WOMAN!

Dear readers,

Yesterday was the international day to say NO to the violence against the woman and I have decided to write about this theme because I think it is a serious problem.
In the European Union (EU) they have done a report with 42,000 women across the 28 Member States. It shows that violence against women, and specifically gender-based violence that disproportionately affects women, is an extensive human rights abuse that the EU cannot afford to overlook. Click here to obtain more information.

The World Health Organization defines violence as "the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment, or deprivation", but acknowledges that the inclusion of "the use of power" in its definition expands on the conventional meaning of the word.

Here you have a video about the violence against the woman.

Social Websites

Hello readers,

Today I'm going to speak about the social websites ( tuenti, facebook, twitter, instagram and whatsapp) because I think that nowadays social websites have positive and negative consequences too . On the one hand I'll speak about the positive consequences of the social websites and on the other hand I'll speak about the negative consequences of the social websites.

Positive consequences of the social websites:
  • You can chat with your friends while you have WiFi or internet.
  • You can share pictures with anybody.
  • You can meet people from other cultures.
  • It may be a way to entertain yourself.
  •  It is a good place to make new "friends".
  • In twitter you can tweet saying what you are doing, what have you done or what you are going to do.
  • In instagram you can share photos and see other peoples photos.

Negative consequences of the social websites:

  • People can laugh with your photos, use your information, do whatever they want.
  • If you don't have private your website, people from every country can see you website and this can be a very negative consequence.
  • Once you start using the social website, you can get addicted, this seems impossible but it is possible and is a very grave consequence.
  • You can make false friends.

As a conclusion, this are the consequences of the social websites. There are a lot of positive consequences but there are negative consequences too. So, my advice is to be careful with the social websites and don't trust anyone.

TRAVELING IN SWITZERLAND

Dear readers,

Today I am going to write about traveling in Europe. I like very much travelling and that's why I'm going to write about this topic. I hope you will enjoy reading this article.

Two years ago my familly and I went to Switzerland. I liked very very much this place so that's why I'm writing about this place.

Switzerland is situated in Western and Central Europe, where it is bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. (wikipedia)

We went by plain from Bilbo to Bern.

Switzerland in my opinion is very beautiful. I liked very much, If I had the opportunity to go there again I  wouldn't  think it twice. Bern is the capital of Switzerland and in my opinion was the beautifulest city of Switzerland. I didn't have the opportunity to visit all the famous places in this country but the places I saw there they were amazing. The Old Town, the Parliament Building, the  Fountains, the Oberhofen Castle and Clock Tower were the places I liked more.
